MusikSpass is a sound guessing game for children. We take privacy seriously, especially the privacy of children. This policy explains what data the app processes and why.

The short version
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
- No account and no registration are needed.
- We do not collect names, email addresses, photos, locations or contacts.
- Children can play the game without the app sending any personal data.
- Data is only processed when a parent buys or restores a subscription.
Data stored only on your device
The app saves two settings on your device:
- the language you chose
- whether a subscription is active, so the app works offline
These settings never leave your device. They are deleted when you uninstall the app.
Subscriptions and purchases
MusikSpass offers an annual subscription with a free trial. Purchases are handled by:
**Google Play (Google Ireland Ltd.)**
Google processes the payment and your Google account information. We never see your payment details. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
**RevenueCat, Inc. (USA)**
We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. For this, the following data is sent to RevenueCat:
- a random, anonymous user ID created by the app (not linked to your name or email)
- purchase information from Google Play (product, purchase date, renewal and cancellation status, purchase token)
- technical data needed for the connection (such as the IP address, app version, operating system version and device language)
RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf as a data processor. Data transferred to the USA is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
**Legal basis:** Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract: providing the subscription you purchased).
**Retention:** Purchase data is kept as long as it is needed to provide the subscription and as long as tax and commercial laws require us to keep it.
Children
The app is designed for children of primary school age. Children can use the game without providing any personal data. A math question for parents (a "parental gate") protects the subscription screen, so children cannot start a purchase by accident. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Sounds
The sounds in the app are included in the app itself. They come from Wikimedia Commons. Playing them does not need an internet connection and does not send any data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we process about you
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict its processing
- receive it in a portable format
- object to its processing
To use these rights, write to the email address above. The app shows your anonymous user ID on its subscription screen. Please include this ID so we can find your data.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time in Google Play: Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes, we will update this policy and the date at the top.
